We had a wonderful Christmas in Texas this year full of fun and family! Brady was really into Santa this year, in fact he asks every morning if Santa brought him more presents :) We were fortunate to have Tiffany's parents come and stay with us for Christmas and enjoyed spending time with them at the lake, then headed to Jim Tom and Glynda's Christmas day for chaos with the cousins!! Brady had a blast playing with all of them and all of the fun toys at Gigi's house.

Brady had his first performance at his preschool Christmas Show. He did great, he stayed on stage which was all I really cared about, and he even had a big role- he had the jingle bells! He didn't sing a word, but he rang those bells like a pro!

Today was Brady's 3rd birthday party! We celebrated at a kids restaurant/play space and had quite a gathering. Brady's friends including his preschool class were all in attendance and all had a great time. It of course was a construction truck themed party with lots of trucks everywhere. Mommy and Maegen even made the construction site cake!

A Very Mickey Christmas

DeeDee and I took Brady to Disneyland for the Christmas Spectacular, and boy was it amazing. The whole park was decked to the halls, there was an awesome Christmas parade including Santa himself, and a fireworks show. We all had a great time, it was a very festive celebration!

We had a great Halloween this year. Brady's preschool had a Halloween carnival and parade that Brady and DeeDee went to during the day and that night we headed out for trick or treating. Brady caught on quick to getting candy and we went through an entire neighborhood before he decided that he had enough candy. He keeps asking every day if we can go trick or treating again.

We survived the pumpkin patch this year. The last 2 years Brady has gotten sick at the pumpkin patch but we tried again this year and- success! We've even gone back again after Brady cracked our first pumpkin.

Well the wedding has come and gone. Scott and Tiffany are officially married and I have a new sister-in-law! It was the most georgeous and fun wedding I've been to. Brady did great and was a trooper the whole weekend. He loved his "vacation to Hokahoma" and asked if we could go to the wedding again! He kept calling the church a skyscraper, no comments please on our church attendance lately :) Everyone was so proud of Brady for doing a great job as ring bearer and making it down the aisle even though the flower girl bailed on him after 3 steps! He ran the rest of the way to me, I was waiting at the alter for him and he yelled out for everyone to hear "I did it! I ran with the pillow!" He was so excited and I was beaming! I only have a few random pics, hopefully someone will send me some better ones for me to post.

Well what can I say, he is definitely his mother's son. Brady danced the entire time on the dance floor and even made it into the middle of the dance circle several times.

Oh Boy August

This has been one of the busiest and most fun months. I started my fellowship at USC and it has been absolutely fabulous so far. In addition to surgery, I am taking care of the USC athletic teams which is a really neat experience and a lot of fun covering all the games on the sidelines. Brady started preschool and is doing great and loving it. We were super excited to have the Denhartog clan come to LA to visit! We went to Legoland one weekend with them and met up with Maegen and Madeline, then went to Disneyland the next weekend. What a blast. Needless to stay, I am very tired but having a great time enjoying my last year here in Southern California.

Summer Vacation

We had a great trip to Texas during my time off before fellowship. Brady loves being in Texas and didn't mind the heat at all. He spent the majority of the time outside in the pool, lake, or sandbox. We got to visit with lots of people during our stay, including a reunion of many of my sorority sisters at Richland Chambers lake.

Well, residency is finally done! After 5 years of hard work, exhaustion, and abuse my classmates and I celebrated the end of an era. Another graduation down, now onto fellowship. Since Brady missed out on the big party, we celebrated with him the following night by going to Sesame Street Live. We had such a blast. It was Brady's first show and he did great. He sat through the whole thing and really enjoyed himself!

Wow, we had a busy easter. DeeDee was in town visiting. We started off the day checking out our many easter baskets since one just didn't hold all of the stuff the easter bunny brought. Then we headed off to the zoo for Big Bunny's Spring Fling where we got to pet bunnies, make bunny ears, go to the petting zoo, and of course explore the rest of the LA Zoo. It was fun but exhausting. DeeDee fixed us a great dinner, then we decorated some easter cookies. Brady seems to have caught on to easter pretty well, he keeps opening up his eggs and asking for more presents...

We went to San Diego this weekend to tackle Legoland with Maegen and Madeline. It was such an awesome time, the kids did great staying all day without a nap and really enjoyed themselves. We can't wait to go back!

Rain ruined our plans to visit the zoo today, but we found an even better place to explore, the Automotive Museum. This was Brady's personal heaven. Cars and trucks and motorcycles-oh my! He had so much fun running around and looking at all of the "cool cars". They even had a Hot Wheels exhibit which we spent a good 30 minutes in a 10x10 foot area looking at the cars.

Spring Break 2011

Brady took another trip to Texas without Mommy to enjoy some Texas spring weather and get a break from Mom being on call all the time. He had a GREAT time playing at Grandad and DeeDee's house. Between the swing, cars, Sophie, and ducks, he just about didn't come back!

I finally got a picture of Scott and his fiance Tiffany. They are getting married in Sept in Tulsa, OK which is Tiffany's hometown. We are all soooo excited and looking forward to the big day!

We were so blessed and excited to get to go to Texas for Christmas this year. It was Brady's first Christmas in Texas with the whole family and it was my first one in 5 years! We had such a great time at Gigi and Bear's (Glynda and Jim Tom) on Christmas day with all of the cousins, and then we headed back to the lake to celebrate with Scott and my soon-to-be sister in law Tiffany. It was such a great time, and of course Brady got more trucks and trains...

Brady had a great Halloween. We went to a party Saturday night and then tried out trick or treating on Sunday. Brady loved giving out candy at my friend Dyan's house- he would wait at the window at the door for the next group to come ring the doorbell! For those who aren't aware, Brady is obsessed with trucks. Like seriously obsessed with anything that goes "vroom vroom". Every night we follow the UPS truck around the neighborhood on its route. Brady follows Omar the driver on all his deliveries, so when I saw this costume I thought it was only fitting...

Well, 2 halloweens, 2 visitis to the pumpkin patch, 2 disasters. For the 2nd time, Brady got sick at the pumpkin patch and proceeded to have a miserable time. These will be the last pictures of us with any type of pumpkin setting for quite a while :) We did manage to have a little fun at the beginning before the runny nose and sneezing set in. My mom thinks he's allergic to Halloween...

Brady went on his first vacation without Mommy this past week when he took off with his grandparents for Texas. They all had a great time, Brady adjusted well to life on the lake in 100 degree weather. I went and joined them for the weekend and brought Brady back to LA. We really enjoyed seeing the family.

I had to work on Easter, but we did a practice easter egg hunt the day before to get Brady ready for Easter at his nanny Aida's house. He was way more interested in throwing the eggs out of the basket than gathering them, so looks like we will need some more practice before next year.

Brady and I flew to Austin this past weekend for my sorority sister, Jill Hude's wedding. We had a great time meeting up with all of the college friends and more importantly, all of their babies! While having 6 kids age 2 and under together all day was a bit hectic, we made it through with little collateral damage!
